We pride ourselves in our commitment to sustainability in floristry, using as many pro-planet practices as possible. We compost all of our remnants and flowers that have lost their lives after an event. We donate any beautiful blooms leftover from events to the Lotus House Women’s Shelter. We recycle as much plastic, aluminum and glass as possible. We also recycle all of our cardboard to Miami Waste Paper Company. Our flowers, foliage, fruit and perishable selection is based on seasonality which helps keep oliFLOR sustainable.
Whenever possible, flowers and foliage are sourced locally, helping to limit the carbon footprint in the industry. We repurpose and reuse vessels and mechanics and most of all, we refuse as much as we can. Whether that be refusing to take the flowers in a box by carrying the flowers in our hand, or refusing plastic bags. We choose to use refillable water bottles. oli FLOR believes with each of these small, sustainable steps, by practicing love and compassion for our earth, we are making a profound impact in our community and cultivating a more sustainable future for generations to come.
Danielle's daughter is named Olivia. Oli is short for Olivia, and FLOR is her middle name. Olivia Flor is the reason this company was born. We want to teach her that her positive actions have an impact and they can affect her future in a profound way.
Flowers are precious and they have meanings driven into our psyche. And let’s be honest, no two customers are the same. We are always researching the client, whether it's a brand we are working with, a couple or honoring a board member, we need to get to know them.
What they are about, what they stand for. What are their brand colors? What is their mission statement?
